Kickstarter Campaign for Super Mario World: The Lost Chapter Cancelled

An Italian based Kickstarter claims to have been backed by Nintendo to release a never before seen 1989 edition of Super Mario World.  Their goals has ports for Super Nintendo, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS.

Supposedly accepted by Nintendo on March 16, 2018, went live several days ago, but abruptly came to a stop. They raised €971 of its €30,000 goal (and €90,000 3DS stretch goal).

People were skeptical if Nintendo gave them permission to use their licencing. The entire Kickstarter including the images were littered with red flags.  Many have reached out to Nintendo to see if the game was really approved by them, but Nintendo has not answered to the rumors yet.
