The Largest Gameboy Ever Made is Huge

Ilhan Ünal from Belgium beat the Guinness World Record for the largest Gameboy.  His creation  stands 3.31 feet x 2.03 feet x 0.65 feet.  It was measured on November 13, 2015.  It is approximately 6.75 times bigger than the original Gameboy.

It is fully functional and can play original gameboy cartridges. "The Game Boy was a huge part of many people's childhoods, including my own. I was obsessed with my Game Boy as a kid, so I wanted to create something that would put a smile on little Ilhan's face, and hopefully on the face of anyone who is a big kid at heart," said Ilhan.

In his spare time, he assembled Gameboys to learn how they are made.  He used his school's laboratory to laser cut the parts.  The device became very popular.  It drew huge lines of Nintendo fans who wanted to play it for themselves.
