How Many Times Did You Punch Yoshi in the Face?

Everyone has used Mario's most faithful companion Yoshi.  Mario motivates Yoshi to let out his tongue with a fist pump.

According to kotaku, Mario is actually punching Yoshi to force him to let out his tongue.  All this time Mario is abusing poor little Yoshi to force him to do exactly what he wants.  You can see in the video how he exactly punches him.
