You've Never Seen These Pokemon Prototypes Before

The Pokemon hype is huge right now with the upcoming release of Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee! Let's take a moment to remember Pokemon Gold and Silver.  These games could have been very different from the games we know and love.

Fans at The Cutting Room Floor managed to get their hands on a prototype game of the second generation games.  This game originates from Nintendo's Space World promotional event in 1997.  The build contains a whole bunch of monsters that you've never seen before.

Two of the three starter Pokemon are missing.  Instead of Cyndaquil and Totodile, they are replaced with other Pokemon we have never seen before.

The was originally going to focus on the original monsters and feature the baby versions of the monsters.  Below are the baby versions of Vulpix, Goldeen, Paras, Meowth, Grimer, Growlithe, and Mr. Mime.  Pokemon Diamond and Pearl did create a baby version of Mr. Mine, called Mr. Mime Jr., and it looks very similar to this idea.
