Although the Nintendo Switch is still fairly new, it still has some awesome racing games released.  Here are some of the best racing games for the Nintendo Switch.

Fast RMX

FAST Neo is a whip-crackingly fast futuristic racing game by developer Shin'en. Choose your favorite Anti-gravity vehicle and become a legend in the FAST Racing Neo league.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Hit the road with the definitive version of Mario Kart 8 and play anytime, anywhere! Race your friends or battle them in a revised battle mode on new and returning battle courses. Play locally in up to 4-player multiplayer in 1080p while playing in TV Mode. Every track from the Wii U version, including DLC, makes a glorious return. Plus, the Inklings appear as all-new guest characters, along with returning favorites, such as King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr.!

Riptide GP

Riptide GP: Renegade drops players into a futuristic world of illicit hydro jet racing, where armored riders kick out death-defying stunts over massive waterfalls, outrun cops, and boost at breakneck speeds across surging waves. With a deep career mode and both split screen and online multiplayer, Riptide GP: Renegade is the first game in the popular racing series designed especially for modern consoles.

Mantis Burn Racing

The race is on in Mantis Burn Racing, where fast-paced bumper-to-bumper racing combines with intuitive, tactile gameplay and stunning visuals in one of the best-looking and most immersive top-down racers around. Drive incredible built-for-racing vehicles across highly detailed, visually stunning tracks, in high-risk, high-speed races where winning is everything. Prove your skills in an extensive career mode and take on friends with 4-player local split-screen racing and online modes for up to 8 players in ‘one-more-go’ style competitive racing. An RPG-style upgrade system provides players with deep tactical choices and excellent replay-ability.

The Next Penelope

One of the most famous Greek myths of all time might not seem like an ideal starting point for an intense, top-down combat racer, but the setup for The Next Penelope feels perfect. You assume the role of the titular heroine, wife of the long-absent Odysseus who is famed for her undying loyalty despite the advances of many persistent suitors. While this might make Penelope sound like your tiresomely stereotypical passive female character and little more than a trophy for the hero to swoop in and rescue, she is not content to simply sit and wait for her beloved to return. Instead, she hops into a spaceship and explores the intergalactic kingdom of Ithaca, desperate for news of her husband.

Cars 3: Driven to Win

Speed into the world of Cars as you determine your path to racing mastery in Cars 3: Driven to Win, the game inspired by the Disney•Pixar film. Play with over 20 customizable characters including Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm, Cruz Ramirez and the next generation of racers in over 20 tracks set in iconic locations from the film such as Radiator Springs. Train and advance your abilities in 6 game modes and challenge your family and friends in the Battle Race to become the Ultimate Champion. On the road to becoming a Hall of Fame Driver, training and skill will give you an edge in a race that anyone can win.

Redout

Redout is a stylish, futuristic racer bringing back the speed and vertigo of genuine arcade racing -- get in the ship and slam that throttle. From the first moment, you will feel the enormous amount of power coming from your engine. Hovering a few meters above the ground going over 800 km/h is no piece of cake. There’s no racing on rails here: each input will apply a physical force to your ship. This means you will feel every turn and every twist in the track. From dirty suburban environments, to eerie frozen landscapes, to vast desert plains, get ready for some seriously fast action in some seriously beautiful environments.
